About Dr Daniel Lantsberg

Daniel is a consultant gynaecologist specialising in fertility, reproductive endocrinology and fertility preservation. His special interests are elective egg freezing, age-related infertility, unexplained infertility, male infertility, fertility preservation, PCOS, endometriosis and fibroids. He has also been appointed Clinical Director of The Fertility Centre Werribee.

Dr Daniel Lantsberg graduated from Ben Gurion University medical school in Israel with honours (Cum Laude) in 2008. He subsequently completed his internship at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and embarked on a six-year fellowship in obstetrics, Gynaecology and fertility at Sheba Medical Center in Israel (ranked one of the top ten hospitals in the world).

He practised as a fertility specialist at Sheba medical center and Tel Aviv medical center, two of the leading Women’s hospitals in Israel. He was the medical director of the principal outpatient emergency obstetrics and gynaecology center (Maccabi healthcare) in Tel Aviv, leading a team of 30 doctors for 3 years before deciding to relocate to Australia.

 

In Melbourne, he completed an additional 3-year subspecialty fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Royal Women's Hospital and Melbourne IVF.

Daniel has private rooms in East Melbourne and holds a public appointment as a fertility specialist at the Reproductive Services Unit at The Royal Women’s Hospital, where he is training junior doctors in their own fertility subspecialty training. Daniel also holds a Senior Lecturer appointment at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Melbourne.

 

​He has founded and facilitated the Australian- Israeli consortium for advancements in fertility treatments aimed at an international scientific exchange of the most recent progress in the field of reproductive medicine. He presents at national and international scientific conferences and has published his research in leading scientific journals.

 

Daniel is committed to the most advanced and personal evaluation and treatment of all aspects of male and female infertility. He is regarded by his patients as compassionate, informative, and accessible. He believes in personalised patient care as “one size does not fit all”. He combines dedication, passion, and clinical expertise to ensure that every patient is given the best chance of having a family.

 

​Daniel is passionate about fertility preservation and oncofertility, remaining committed to improving the fertility outcomes of women, men and children diagnosed with cancer. He is actively involved in research in this field and provides specialist care in the Fertility Preservation Service at Melbourne IVF, the Royal Women’s Hospital, and is a member of the fertility preservation Taskforce at the Royal Children's Hospital.

 

​Daniel holds a dual specialist qualification, both in Australia and in Israel, two of the leading countries in science and innovation in fertility treatments. By combining his knowledge and experience from both worlds, he provides his patients with a unique insight and skillset to achieve their fertility goals.
